| From Eric K. Chicago, IL
I have been interested in bail recovery for a long
time. But I am a convicted felon (posession of cannabis sativa) in 1998
served little under 2 yrs. I had no other problems with the law. From what
I've investigated this shouldn't be a problem, could you please verify this
for me?
Thank you for your time,
Eric K.

Eric,
No, your felony record will not be a problem in IL
because Illinois abolished the commercial bail bond industry several years
ago and along with it, outlawed bounty hunting in your state as well. So-
there are no clients and it is illegal since there is no provision in
state law for apprehensions by private persons.
You're in the same boat as everyone else in IL
and I'm not exactly sure where you are getting your information as a
result of your "investigation." Probably the guys trying
to fill seats in their seminars.
Your felony will prevent you from obtaining a license
in every other state where one is required though.
